In this Q&A you will learn all about our MarketSpell seller Stacey…We chatted about her career, inspirations and more!
Tell Us About Yourself
My name is Stacey – I’m an artist, and mother to two young men.
I was born and raised in Montreal, and have moved several times as an adult. I spent some time in Ottawa, Mississauga, and Vancouver.
I’ve been a creative person since I was a kid. First, it was music, then writing, and now painting.
I’m currently a full-time artist, and just love it! I also teach painting to adults with and without disabilities.
How Has Your Environment Impacted Your Life?
Cambridge, Ontario is a very artsy community, and I love it! It’s adjacent to many other artistic communities, full of amazing people.
What Inspires You?
People and my children have always inspired me, but my biggest inspiration has got to be nature. I love camping and spending time outdoors.
What Are Your Plans For The Future?
Not sure. I like to take it one day at a time.
Are You Driven By A Cause?
Autism. My son lives with autism and is a great young man of 24. He has overcome so many obstacles, and continues to do so every day.
I happily donate a portion of my proceeds to support those with disabilities.
In addition I now volunteer as an art coordinator to those with and without disabilities.
Why Did You Become An Artist?
It wasn’t a choice. It was a hobby that transformed into a career.
What Makes Your Work Unique?
Quality and similarities are found in many artists. I pride myself on customer service.
Tell Us A Fun Fact
Well, I am a lefty, but I have a better story.
I built my website, not knowing how to do a thing. The process took around a month. A lot of sweat and tears went into that project.
